5 things that make Bournemouth the perfect seaside town to visit this Xmas

Thousands of people will be visiting Bournemouth this festive season to experience the large array of things it has to offer. The only way it might not be perfect is if you want peace and quiet because thousands of people will be travelling to Bournemouth this winter.

Below are 5 things to do in Bournemouth this year to get you in the Christmas spirit.

1. The Christmas Market

Where? Situated in the middle of Bournemouth Square the Christmas Market is at the heart of Bournemouth’s Christmas celebrations. When? The market will run from the 12th November 2015 til the 3rd of January 2016. What? It is a traditional German Market with little Xmas decorated Alpine Chalet stalls that sell seasonal gifts, handmade crafts and festive foods. There is also the Moose Bar with beer garden to enjoy some mulled wine, a carousel and a stage with a variety of performances taking place during the period.

2. The Garden of Lights Festival

Where? Bournemouth’s Lower Gardens. When? 19th November 2015  til the 3rd of January. What? A wonderful trail of lights through the lower gardens with interactive light pods all of which are free.

3. Ice Skating.

Where? Available in both outdoors in the lower gardens or indoors at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) When? Outdoors – 19th November 2015 – 3rd January 2015. Indoors – 12th December 2015 – 21st February 2016. What? A fun winter based fun activity for the family. Enjoy the outdoor skating in the Garden of Lights or the South Coasts’ largest seasonal indoor ice rink at the BIC.

4. Snow White

Where? Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre. When? 5th December 2015 til the 3rd January 2016. What? Available from £16.50-£19.50 Snow White is Bournemouth’s Christmas pantomime featuring C5’s Olivia Birchenough, Eastenders’ Gillian Wright and Matt Lapinskas.

5. The Coca Cola Lorry

Where?  The Waterfront, Pier Approach, Bournemouth, BH2 5AA When? 16th December 2015. 12 noon til 8pm. What? The star of the ‘Holidays are Coming’ adverts the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour will be coming to Bournemouth to spread Christmas magic.
